Normally, I would not want to trouble anyone...but I am having a hard time getting around, and there is very little food left in our house. Perhaps, if someone is not too troubled, they could help me go shopping? I cannot breathe so well anymore, and it is quite a long walk from my house.

That sounds like you lost a lung, then. But if you died, then you should be fine, injury-wise. But you'll need to be extra careful with your breathing now. Does your house have an air purifier and oxygen generator yet? If the hazmats come to town, you'll die first with only one lung.
